Why Do Women Find It More Difficult To Lose Weight?

Have you been asking this question more often than not and perplexed to find that there no one realistic answer? Well worry not, I get more calls from women, especially on this one particular issue, and will  try & address the same.
When I began to realize that men & women are not only hardwired differently in the head, but also in the way one loses weight, it gave me an entirely different approach towards dealing with women, especially those in the age range of early 20′s to late 30′s.
I say this because a lot of external factors begin to play a prominent role in influencing the weight management of women in this particular age group, which I do not want to dwell on in this blog.
However I am looking at putting across some of my own thoughts wrt to this particular topic, through my own experience by working with women as their Wellness Coach -
Excessive Stress: Over the years working with some wonderful women,I have realized that mismanaged stress plays a critical role in adding on pounds in a very short time. Moreover succumbing to chronic stress, eventually leads to thyroid dysfunction, a spike in blood pressure, weak immune system and eventually weight gain.
Imagine these teaming up with external factors like sedentary life style, sugar craving and unhealthy eating habits and you get a person just living on the edge. I personally feel that if stress not managed properly it affects both the emotional & physical health of an individual and unfortunately women bear the maximum brunt due to  this one thing not managed well.
Lack of Sleep: The First thing I notice when I work with clients is their sleeping pattern and if it is a woman I already know where the challenge is. One of the key reasons women find it extremely difficult to lose weight is because they compromise in this department and for some it is always a stretch. Most of the women who are good in multitasking, eventually end up making a hash of a good sleep cycle.
For most of them, it is a shocker when I tell them that lack of sleep influences one to overeat & crave for more junk food. I do advocate however that a power nap in the afternoon for at the least 20-30  minutes reduces the pitfalls to a large extent.
Hormonal Imbalance: I come across more and more women nowadays with both the factors mentioned above, playing havoc with their system and eventually leading to imbalance in the hormones. What this does in simple words is that “eventually affects the way excess fat is managed and stored in the body”.
Also overproduction of certain hormones plays a crucial role in influencing one’s emotional health, which when not managed at an early stage will lead to other major  Life altering issues. I do hear more women going through the Poly –cystic ovary syndrome nowadays and it is spreading like an epidemic, at least in the part of the country I live in.
I personally  feel that it is the lifestyle which is causing this and nothing else.
Sedentary Lifestyle: With women balancing more number of things and somehow always putting their comforts the last, I have seen that they do not have the energy required to be on their feet. Somehow over the years women tend to sit more and the current electronic gizmos give them more reason to justify this.
One critical aspect women tend to miss out on is that by not being on their feet, the metabolism goes down sharply and this plays a critical aspect in weight management especially as women tend to get older.
There is no one way of addressing these major concerns, which play a crucial role in women piling  on more weight.By getting a grip on these areas, most of my own clients who have been struggling with the above issues and have tried everything for years, have seen some wonderful results in a short span of time.
I hope that if you are a women you could relate to my thoughts and if you are a man, do make the women of your life to read this cause, once you do know where to begin then most of them will eventually figure out their own answers, otherwise I am just anemail or call away.
I would love to hear from you as to what you do think of the reasons I have mentioned in my Blog and what do you intend to do to overcome the same. If you or someone whom you know is going through this challenge, then do not hesitate to share my Face book Fan page or mail Id  coach@satishrao.in. As always take care and “Be awesome”.

How Does Life Coaching Work?

Is there some aspect of your life you would like to change or improve, but do not know where to start? Do you have a goal or a wish that  somehow seems out of your grasp? Well if you have answered yes to any of these questions then do read on
Over the years people have asked me about Life Coaching and the role it plays in changing people’s lives. When I step back and see myself a couple of years ago, I too had  questions on similar lines. Hence with the awareness that a Life Coach is becoming more & more prominent today, who better to address this, than then someone who does this full time.
I will try and be as Unbiased as possible when I try and decipher the art of life coaching. Do excuse me in case you find me wavering on and off. I am so passionate about working with people, that I do tend to go overboard at times.
Most of the people according to me,find it extremely undesirable to work with a counselor or a therapist because they tend to fix a social stigma to the same. However Life coaches function in an area which does not necessarily mean playing either of the roles.
They are professionals who are absolutely committed,Non judgmental and most importantly passionate about the role they are playing.
Life coaching is well suited with just about anybody, irrespective of their background or qualification. Once you have decided that you need a professional to walk alongside you, when you are moving towards the biggest change in life, be it professional or personal then it is time to work with a Life Coach. However the two most important reasons Life coaching is so very effective are -
The process does take place in a Non Judgmental space: Most of us when faced with challenges  would have turned towards family or friends, which to a certain extent does work but we as humans do tend to be judgmental. When we know someone from years it is natural that we tend to be judgmental even if one does not want to be.
However as a Life Coach, we challenge some of your assumptions, but this will be purely as a means to uncover potential conflicting values that may be limiting the effectiveness of your actions.
When you do know that someone is absolutely Non judgmental, the wavelength moves into  a different stratosphere. This according to me plays a critical role in developing the trust & connection between two individuals.
Develop a sense of Accountability: Friends, spouses and partners can be helpful, and might naturally hold you accountable based on their relationship with you.  These relations may, in turn, prove to be a double-edged sword. In this less-than-perfect world, most are not trained in the art and skill of listening. Some people may even harbor judgments or co-dependencies towards you.
I have seen that Once you are Accountable to someone & in this case it would be a Life Coach, the ownership shifts at the sub conscious level, which according to me is the core of an individual. I have seen some of my own clients changing gears in a short span of time and enjoying the exhilarating journey.
I personally feel that once we are accountable to ourselves, then nothing can put us off course.
Accordingly these two are the reasons I consider to be critical when it does come to Life Coaching and the reason  it has been so effective, across regions and cultures.
Additionally I  also work as a Wellness Coach and strongly believe that one can improve any area of one’s life when the overall wellness of an individual improves both  at the conscious & the sub conscious level. So over the years I have began to integrate Life’s challenges with overall wellness and primarily work on this area.
From the above, I hope you would have gained some knowledge about Life Coaching. If you or someone whom you care about, fit into this mold then  do not hesitate to reach out to me,because I work with clients across continents using technology and as long as you are on this planet we can begin our journey.
I would love to hear from you as to what you do think about Life Coaching and how effective it would be in shaping one’s life, either through my Face Book Fan Page  or at my mail Id coach@satishrao.in

Does Food Intake And Thought Process Goes Hand In Hand?

Do you feel low in energy, directionless  and most of the time edgy? Well for all you know the number one culprit behind this might be your food intake. My common line to people is  - “change your eating habits and you will not need to struggle to rein in your thought process”.Sounds too good to be true, well read on to find out some great insights.
I believe that what goes in the mouth plays a big role in shaping up one’s emotional thought process. I have worked with loads of people over the years, who have changed their food intake patterns and thereby changed their lives, beginning with their thought process.
The key to this is,eating the right quantity & at the right time.Working with clients over the years  has given me some amazing insights, which I will share in the next few lines. Read on to find out -
Increase your antioxidants: Increasing the consumption of antioxidants is the simplest of the things, which most people can do without altering much of your life. In fact I deeply believe that it is just a change in mindset and nothing else. Anyway the richest source of antioxidants is available in fresh  fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts and vegetable oil.
Incorporating all this in your daily diet is just about being more creative. In short, what! food rich in antioxidants will do to an individual is, in simple words improve from the inside out. Therefore the biggest benefits will happen at the cellular level.
Increase your protein intake: Protein is one of the key ingredients in building a healthy body. Personally being a vegetarian, i focus more right now on naturally increasing my protein intake. You need not be a gym rat to increase your protein intake. In fact anyone who physically needs to be more energetic and healthy can begin to focus on increasing your protein intake.
Stick to what is natural and a good source of protein. These are  Eggs, nuts, legumes, fish, meat & poultry. See what does work for you. The thumb rule  is to stick to about 3-4 sources of protein foods in a day, which will give you a steady source of protein to your body through the day.
Hydrate yourself well: One of the key aspects, most of the people miss on is the adequate consumption of water during the day. People have some of the weirdest excuses not to drink enough water some which include, that the washroom is very far off or they never feel thirsty. One needs to drink at the minimum of 8- 10 glass of 250 Ml in a day which is a safe range.
Mind you, over drinking is also as bad as less consumption. Follow a habit of sipping water through the day. Stick to 2-3 bottles in a day which will take care of ensuring that you are well hydrated and if possible add in a couple of hot water shots, which has proven to remove toxins in the body & Mind.
Consume healthy Fats: Yes you did read it right! It is the Fats which are critical. Before some of you heave a sigh of relief & munch a bag of chips , the fat I am talking about is healthy fat which is found in  some fruits, legumes, vegetable oil, eggs, and to a certain extent in meat and poultry. It is never  found in junk and sugar loaded food.
What the good fat does to the system especially at the emotional level, is that it helps to maintain a good balance if it is in a range of 20-30% of the total  calories consumed. This may sound Greek & Latin to a few, but once you begin to work on this, you will acquire the knowledge on what is right & wrong in your own journey.
The reason I have mentioned these key areas when it comes to food and water consumption is that by focusing on these areas I have seen dramatic changes in an individual not only in their physical aspect but also emotionally. This if you ask me, one should gladly take, if it comes as a package deal along with shape and endurance.
I am sure some of you have loads of questions on the aspect I have touched upon today. I will be glad to answer them for you on my Face book page or at my mail Id coach@satishrao.in

Life Is Not A Lottery; It’s What You Make Out Of It

Have you stopped in your tracks and thought about how your life would change, if you could be much more optimistic and positive? Well, over the years I have worked with quite a few clients who only wanted to work towards being more positive & forward thinking. They  wanted to be their best with what was available around them.
We all know how much of a difference, being optimistic and positive can make when it comes to the health of an individual. The quality of your life can change drastically when you begin to develop this mindset and more often than not, I have seen it spread to other areas of one’s life.
Working towards being a positive forward thinker or an optimist is not a one step process. Working with different people from varied backgrounds has given me an insight on how one can develop this mindset, which eventually will help in making our life the way we want ,if one puts their mind to it. See what works for you and try & incorporate it in your life to make the ultimate difference.
The past is never equal to the future: Most of us when faced with adversity in life are conditioned that our future will be similar to our past. Well this is the biggest lie that people tend to believe and unfortunately live in. When my clients come to me with a baggage of Adversity, I always ensure that I put across the message that “what started badly will not necessary needs to end badly”.
A bad patch in life’s journey need not necessarily mean we need to look at a bleak future. I coach my clients  to leave the past failures, adversities behind and see themselves moving  forwards  towards a new destination.Usually when one drops the old baggage you are automatically making room for something new.
Own up to your responsibilities: Once we take up ownership of our journey irrespective of our external environment, that optimism and success will come naturally. Have you seen someone extremely successful who blames the environment, organisations or even for that matter the country and thrive. Well I have hardly come across anyone whom I can remember.
I have realized that opportunity is  found in a mindset of being more  gracious and forthcoming. There are opportunities around each one of us,most of the time I have seen people looking through it and not noticing it.This can change when you own up, to create the life you want rather than be a driftwood.
Follow nature’s law: Nature has given each one of us one mouth and two ears and accordingly this is to listen more and talk less. it means we need to  create opportunities & make the most out of any situation.I will guarantee you that you will begin to take in more knowledge and in the process show that you are positive and confident by just making an effort to listen more and open to ideas.
Develop an attitude of Gratitude & forgive: Being thankful for every step, that makes life’s hardships surmountable. What I mean here is that when we begin to look at good things around us and acknowledge the same, then it is easier to build a strong foundation of optimism & confidence which will eventually lead us in the direction of our vision.
Forgiving others in this journey, helps us out live the past and walk towards our future which is what each one of us can create. I have seen many people struggle to make peace with their past and make a hash of the future with no  vision.I remember asking a Client during one of my Coaching call and was amazed with his response and shift from the inside.Forgive, but never forget the lessons.
Whatever might be your position right now in your life when you begin to work on the actionable items mentioned above, you will be surprised how things magically begin to fall in place and opportunities suddenly appear. This is not luck mind you, but pure metaphysics at work. For some of you who still find this difficult to fathom, drop me a line and I will be able to address your predicament at a much deeper level.
I am sure more than a few would  relate to my thoughts. I would Love to hear from you, as to how you can relate this, to your own life’s journey and make a wonderful Life in the future  at my mail Id coach@satishrao.in or through my Face book Page.

Have You Activated The Antivirus For The Mind?

Are you aware of the devastation of your thoughts when it becomes Negative or self destructive? Off late this has become a kind of a virus that is afflicting people who do not lead a healthy life.
Working with people as their Wellness Coach and interacting with people in my Group Wellness Seminars, has given me plenty of insights. It has convinced me, that there is an absolute link between physical & mental well being & having a positive attitude in life.
Our brain plays a key role in managing our emotions. what we do on a regular basis is the key, which ultimately plays a big role in negating this virus and makes you lead the life you deserve. we are all aware that healthy eating and regular exercise plays a huge role in ensuring the release of endorphin’s
This is your brains way of dealing with pain and making your feel happier. However what I am touching upon in this Blog article is how to manage to overcome the virus through some of the tried and trusted techniques. Some of  which are -
Train the Mind: Just like how we train each of our muscles to strengthen and develop it, the same logic applies to the brain, which according to me is one of the world’s most powerful muscles. Some of the most effective ways of training the mind are through deep breathing, affirmations and positive visualization.
I would advocate the fact that by making some time to train your own mind you are stepping into the area of personal development, which is the key in overcoming any kind of potent virus in your own mind.
Positive Self Talk: Most of the people have conditioned in their Sub conscious, a lot of Negative thoughts and talk which, without one realizing is always working in the background. The only effective way to overcome this is through positive self talk and replacing what you hear inside your mind, with something more empowering and positive.
When you recognize and stop the negative talk, your thoughts will start naturally flowing to a positive direction.By repeatedly doing something like this, it is easy to create neural pathways in your mind to home in on and make it a natural reaction.
Stop living in the past: One of the most familiar traps I see is that, most people set themselves up for a life of compromise and mediocrity by living in the past negative events. When you think of the past, you will continue to live there and not allow yourself to move on to the future. I did happen to work with a Client couple of years ago, who had some major personal issues a decade ago but was still reliving it as though it happened in the morning.
When I worked with her on this and ultimately made her put her past behind her, she opened up for some amazing transformations. I will try and write a Blog on overcoming your past if a lot of my readers do want  it. Therefore if you are reading this and want to know on how to work on overcoming your negative past then do put up a comment, for me to juice up with some ideas.
Step out of your comfort zone: A Couple of years ago,I too was guilty of staying in my comfort zone and inadvertently feeding my Negative thoughts. The only way I could shift my own life was by guiding my own thoughts in the right direction. Moving out of your own comfort zone will be different from  person to person.
Do what it takes you to move out of the comfort zone, because in my own opinion “Apathy is found within the comfort zone, greatness lives outside of it”.  If you are looking for greatness then you need to step up and step out to live the greatness.
Remember that my aim through these words was never meant for you to control your thoughts but gently guide them in the direction you want. If you need a life of an abundance of health, passion and fulfillment, then fix the goal post and guide your thoughts in the right direction.
Remember to shout out to me, when you strike through the goal post, cause I will always look to celebrate when one of my clients or readers achieves their goals. I would love to hear from you on my Face book page or at my mail Id coach@satishrao.in as to what you feel about my thoughts and also if you do not agree on something I have mentioned.

Work On Change At Your Operating System

What  comes to your mind when I talk about change at your  Operating System? When I use the words ‘Operating system’ with regard to lasting change, people connect immediately because we know that for a smart phone or a computer to function at an optimum level, It’s OS is the key
Lasting change or behaviors are very much a matter of personal choice, which lies within each one of our Sub conscious mind, which I refer to as our Operating System. When I work with people who come to me to work on some of their biggest challenges, be it being more effective, assertive or even healthy, I operate at this level. Hence some of the biggest changes begin to happen effectively.
I am touching upon the area where by working on one’s operating software, you can work towards building the life you envision.
When clients approach me either through word of mouth or by reading my thoughts in my  published ArticlesBlogs or myFacebook page, they have already taken the first step in moving out of their mental block. They have taken a decision to work on some of their biggest challenges, which if left unattended would surely derail them.
According to me, it is critical that this shift happens in a person who is working on course correction in his/her life. Ultimately I believe that people need to manage their own life so well in all areas, that others look up to them as a role model.
Some of the way’s one can work on reprogramming their own operating system or the sub conscious mind are through the following steps  -
Allow positive exposure: When you feed your mind with positive affirmations, visuals or data then your mind begins to work towards it by creating neural pathways. I am a big advocate of the logic, that regular positive affirmations through hearing, seeing and experiencing positive things on a regular basis will drive the words into your subconscious mind, as the new operating instructions.
Any message through any of the mediums repeated again & again in spirit of faith, acceptance, and belief will eventually be accepted by your subconscious mind. Hence I share a lot of positive affirmations on a daily basis through my own website andFacebook Fan page.
Visualize your success: I mention this often that whatever happens, does happen twice. Once in the mind as an image and then eventually in reality. By visualization, you are creating the images, which eventually will influence your behavior. Remember that your operating system is influenced to a greater extent through images. Begin to see yourself in every area of your life as being highly effective.See yourself as being the best and experiencing the feeling.
See people around you acknowledging you for the things you are doing. Recall and recreate memories and pictures of yourself when you were performing at your best. The more you practice doing things in your Sub conscious mind, the more rapidly this will become a part of your thinking and behavior later on. For a step by step process of Visualization do check my previous Blog on the same topic.
Be your own hero:If this sounds familiar to some, well it is also the subject of one of my previous Blogs. Well in this case, It is slightly different when it comes to working on change at your  operating system. Begin by seeing your favorite hero/heroine performing the things which you always wanted to do, in your own mental screen. Feel the experience; hear the voices, touch and sight.
Then just step into the movie, become the person and see yourself doing the whole thing. Remember your mind does not make out what is real and imagined. Eventually your actions, which are under your direct control, will foster a mindset or the belief in your subconscious mind, that is consistent with it.
Model yourself against the best: If you are looking at being the best sportsman, businessman or any professional, look at someone in the same field who excels in the things which you are aspiring for. Follow the patterns he/she is following & begin to incorporate it in your own life. It is easy to model successful people because they always share their success stories. Begin to walk, talk and breathe like them and ultimately this will be a part of your own ingrained habits.
Many of the most effective people around us have reached their positions by modelling themselves in their earlier years after someone who was already extremely effective, someone they admired and respected for qualities they wanted to develop in themselves. Therefore  it is no different for you and me.
I do hope that the last few paragraphs have given you an insight in terms of how working at your OS will ensure that there are long lasting changes which will turn out to be extremely effective. Will look forward to hear from you in terms of how you have managed Lasting changes in your own life on my Face book fan page or at my mail Id coach@satishrao.in

Are You Guilty Of Being An Emotional Eater?

Have you ever wondered why you eat junk food loaded with Tran’s fat and sugars instead of a healthy food item? Do you eat when you are hungry or the other way round? Over the years, one of the most destructive habits most have developed is to eat/drink anything to suppress or worse relieve negative emotions.
One of the key factors responsible for people putting on weight is the unregulated food that goes through the mouth. As the old saying goes that eventually all of us do work for our stomach seems to have been taken in the literal sense by quite a few. Working with people in improving their wellness over the years, has given me some amazing insights on ways and means to identify the emotional eating habits.
There are a few key areas I focus on with my clients when I find that they are eating more for emotional fulfillment rather than to fuel themselves. Some of the areas I focus upon to begin with are -
Recognize your hunger: Most of the time people are not hungry but actually thirsty. Try this approach, if you have already had your regular meals and still feel hungry in-between. Gulp a big sip of water and most of the time the hunger disappears. I am not in any way advocating a liquid diet but sensitizing the fact that one needs to recognize your hunger and plan accordingly.
Eat within 2 hours of waking up: I come across far too many people who begin their day early and then think of eating a heavy brunch or a lunch. Ideally one needs to have a good balanced breakfast or even a bowl of fruits prior to breakfast. What this does to an individual is that the neural pathways get created and inadvertently helps in the food intake getting more disciplined during the day.
I have noticed that people tend to eat more sugary & junk food during the day, when they do skip breakfast. I can convincingly say that a good balanced breakfast will help in overcoming emotional binging to a large extent.
Confuse the brain: As I have mentioned earlier, we humans are creatures of habits. Once we find solace in something, irrespective it being an empowering or dis empowering habit, we stick to it unless we take the initiative to replace it with something else. In this case I have seen that by looking at doing something positive say going out for a walk, calling up a friend or as in my case listening to some music, the brain moves on in another direction.
Begin small and you will move away from homing on some kind of food for emotional support to doing something constructive. The idea here is to make the brain follow new patterns which eventually will become an empowering habit.
Maintain a food journal: The easiest thing to do to monitor your food intake patterns is to maintain a kind of an account of whatever goes through your mouth. According to me, it does works in two ways. One is, you will be more accountable and secondly it helps one realize where one is going wrong. This will help you make a more conscious decision going forward. There are many ways to keep a journal, however my favorite is Google Docs which is very user friendly.
Exercise & develop a regular sleep pattern: I have written complete Blogs on these two subjects separately . However with respect to the topic being discussed, this is a critical area which helps in fighting the urge the most natural way. It helps the brain regulate the right quantity of feel good hormones which plays a critical role in how each one of us ride our emotional wave and eventually relate to it either through positive or negative actions.
Over the years whilst working with people, I have seen that unhealthy eating is not seen in the same light as substance abuse. However in my opinion it has its own crippling effects in one’s life and usually people put a finger on it only when it develops as a medical condition. You do not have to wait till you get there.
Therefore if you are someone who reaches out to food as an emotional solace, then you do know where and how to begin. I would love to hear from you, as to the role  food plays in your life and how have you managed to eat healthy on my Face Book Fan Page  or at mail Id coach@satishrao.in

Is It Time To Re-Design Your Life?

Has your life’s journey been more than perfect? Well, there is always an area where each one of you would be struggling to focus on and make it just about perfect. This is exactly the area that I work on as a life coach when my clients realize that they are not going in the direction they need to.
Over the years, working with some of the most inspiring people has made me aware that most people who want to be super successful in any area of their life are not inconsistent or lazy. On the contrary they did most of the things right, but somehow this works wonderfully for a short term approach but falters badly in the long term. However working on life altering goals takes a different approach to a long term lifestyle change and this is exactly what I am going to explain in the next few paragraphs -
Ask compelling questions: When you ask yourself some compelling questions, I shall guarantee you that your mind begins to move into the introspection mode. As a Life Coach, I have developed the skill of asking some of the most compelling questions which surprisingly results in helping move the mind in the direction of your biggest quest.
Most of the time the Why, what and when questions results in helping my clients remove their own mental cobwebs. What this does  to an individual is to, change his/her vision on what exactly they do want.Asking compelling question is an art which one needs to practice more to master it.As a full time professional Life Coach it is sacramental.
Clear the clutter: When people reach out to me, I have realized is that they have far too much clutter in their heads about exactly what they want. How can the mind function, when there are so many distractions? I am a big believer that when you remove unwanted thoughts in your mind, then you are making space for new thoughts to come in. Usually in my own experience  the first step works wonderfully in helping you build a great foundation in clearing the clutter.
Do not try to eat the whale whole: Most of us do know the logic of biting more than we can chew, but when it comes to working on our own direction I see that most of them do  tend to take on more than they  can chew, which over a period of time becomes insurmountable. This is the exact reason I work with my clients for not less than 12 weeks.
Since by taking small steps you are biting small chunks of the whale as you move forward. What this does is that, it makes one feed on small successes and helps one stay motivated to sustain life’s unpredictable jabs. However I am extra careful not to use this Analogy with Clients who come to me to work on losing weight in particular.
Be patient & enjoy the journey: Patience pays in more than one area for all of us. Work on developing patience to continue the journey irrespective of initial failures and slip ups.I have worked with so many of my own clients  who would have definitely given up, if not for the simple reason that they had a coach who is Non judgmental and a guiding force. Being Accountable, makes all the difference in each and it is no different in this aspect. One of the top reasons working with a Life Coach is so effective is because of being Accountable.
For any change to happen, there has to be a fun element and our sub conscious thrives when you begin to enjoy the journey. Make every day as an opportunity to unlearn and learn new things. The biggest Life altering shifts I have noticed, over the years with people I work with closely as their Personal Coach  is when our mind accepts this and almost goes on to an auto mode.
Some of my own clients have seen some incredible insights and direction when they have began to work on their biggest Life altering goals with me. I do not see any reason as to why you cannot get the same results,if not more if you follow some of these strategies developed over the years working as a Life & Wellness Coach.
I would be excited to know if some of you can pick some positives from this article and work on your biggest goals, be it in your professional or personal life.
I would like to hear from you on your thoughts about what I have discussed & if you have developed something better on myFace book Fan page or at my mail ID coach@satishrao.in

My Journey On The Path To An Elusive Flat Mid Section

Is a flat Midsection an elusive dream for you? Well worry not, I was at the same cross roads a couple of years ago.  If I look back now and go through my journey, there are more mistakes than the number of right things i can recollect . If you are looking at the Number 1 body part which people across Cultures and  Geographies aspire for, it is a flat midsection.
The feeling that one gets when one walks around with a flat belly is according to me best experienced by thyself. Somehow the Fat deposits under the Stomach Muscles are more dangerous than in any other body part for the simple reason that it has been proved to be the number One reason for the Top three Life threatening diseases.
Therefore working on this should be the priority of most people not only from a visual standpoint, but from your own health aspect.
Over the years working with  my Clients who have got some amazing results in this area, has convinced me that Getting rid of the belly fat is simpler than each one of you think. With a right, hands on approach it is that much more easier if you get the basics right and dedicate some time towards it. Some of the most effective strategies in my own experience are -
Eat smart: In my own experience the number one reason for most of the people to pile on belly fat is due to mindless eating. The key is to eat healthy every 2-3 hours from the time you wake up and ideally the last meal of the day should be at least a couple of hours before you hit the snooze button.
The Thumb rule is eat healthy by eating simple foods, rich in healthy fats & by including more Low-Glycemic-Index Foods. Do check my Face Book Fan Page  & subscribe for my updates where I include these key updates on a regular basis. Now all this does not have to be drastic and changed in a day, but gradually in a step by step approach. Once you begin to focus on eating more home cooked food then most of the things will fall in place.
Drink 3-4 cups of Green Tea: Green Tea without added sugar is one of the simplest of the drinks  anyone can inculcate, if you put your mind to it. The benefits of green tea are many. It helps you increase your metabolism and aids in burning the fat in the mid section. it plays this vital role due to a concoction of antioxidants in the tea. I always advise my clients to include something to eat(ideally some fruit) when they consume some green tea during the day.
Stick to a regular sleep cycle: Another key area which I was guilty of at one point of time was, an irregular sleep pattern. If getting to a flat mid section is the key, then you need to be disciplined in the amount of time you log in sleeping, every day of the week .I personally feel that anything from 6-8 hours of good sleep is the key and this includes the weekend also. I see most of the people compromise in this area which plays havoc in so many other critical aspects of their life.
Be Active: I have realized that so many people have a mind block for exercise and hence I have developed my own unique style of staying fit. it is by Leverage exercises as a part of your Lifestyle. What this does is tailor your workout to an established aspect of your life. For so many of my own clients I have worked with, A regular exercise pattern is almost impossible due to their unique lifestyle.
Therefore working on being active is the easiest thing one can do to ensure that there is optimum calorie burn. For some standing and working for couple of hours might do the trick and for the others it might be walking a couple of floors during the day.  See what works for you and make it a habit. Without some kind of physical exertion it is next to impossible to burn those additional calories..
What I have mentioned above has been extremely effective with my clients through the years. All of you do know now  that Knocking of the belly Fat is not a herculean task but through this Blog I hope that you have realized that it is a simple step by step approach which I will guarantee you, that you will enjoy and cherish for the rest of your life.
